Over Christmas break 2013 I decided to actually try reading a book, after talking to a friend about the great things that come about by reading. Sounds pretty ridiculous that a 20 year old has never read a book for fun...obviously I've read books and things for school, but never for enjoyment. I grew up despising reading, so naturally I've never read a book. After taking suggestions and reading online plot summaries I chose to read "Divergent". I wasn't sure if i would stick through it after purchasing the book... (Actually Mom bought it because she was so thrilled I wanted to read a book). Well, its official I FINISHED IT! It was a great book! I bought the second one today, and i cant wait to finish it. Since I made this blog to keep track of things that make me happy, obviously recording this had to happen. I'm so happy I did it and actually really enjoyed it.
This also brought to my mind--I have been very close minded about reading. I'm glad I realized this because I can now consciously make effort to be open minded not only about reading but also other things that I don't give a chance.
